John Troester

Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, August 22, 1994 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery.

OBITUARY: John Troester

John C. Troester, the son of Michael and Kathryn (Troester) Troester, was born near Hampton, Nebraska, on February 16, 1902, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on August 19, 1994, at the age of 92 years, 6 months, and 3 days.

He grew up near Hampton, and attended School District #80. He began farming with his father, and continued to farm the family farm until retiring in 1956, when he moved into Hampton.

On April 4, 1926, he was united in marriage to Clara Driewer, at Hampton. She preceded him in death on April 18, 1985.

John was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton, and served as chairman of the building committee. He was also a charter member of the Hampton Rural Fire District.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, an infant daughter, one brother Jacob; 2 sisters, Clara Schrader, and Tillie Erlenbusch, and an infant grandson.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son Wayne C. Troester of Hordville; a daughter Eunice M. Troester of York; 5 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.
