Ronald TrompkeRonald Trompke, age 68, of Aurora, died at his home in Aurora, Friday morning, of an apparent heart attack. Graveside funeral services were held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, February 18, 1997 at the Central City Cemetery. OBITUARY: Ronald Trompke Ronald Eugene Trompke, the son of Edward and Thelma (Smith) Trompke, was born at Ravenna, Nebraska, on June 18, 1928, and died at his home in Aurora, Nebraska, on February 14, 1997, at the age of 68 years, 7 months, and 26 days. The family moved to Loup City, where he attended school, and later drove truck out of Loup City. On April 14, 1951, he was united in holy matrimony to Esther Sample, at Loup City. She preceded him in death on November 17, 1992. In 1954, they moved to Central City, and in 1963, they moved to Aurora, where he was employed at Consolidated Blenders Incorporated. Ron served his country during the Korean War from May 1, 1951, until his discharge on April 30, 1953. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 3 infant daughters, and one grandson Dorman Bridgmon Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son Michael and his wife Le Ann of Gering; 4 daughters, Pat McKnight and her husband Ray of Clarinda, Iowa, Alice Strong and her husband Roger of Lafayette, Tennessee, Barb Foster of Phillips, and Beverly Bridgmon and her husband Lee of Bee; one brother Gene of Omaha, and a sister Beverly Zyla of Omaha; and 10 grandchildren. |
