Dorothy Uehling

Dorothy Uehling, age 91, of Aurora, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012, at East Park Villa.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 13th at the Pleasant View Bible Church. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: DOROTHY UEHLING

Dorothy Alice Uehling, the daughter of George and Margaret Helen (Carroll) Thaden, was born in Doniphan, Nebraska on January 27, 1921 and passed away in Aurora, Nebraska on February 9, 2012, at the age of 91.

Dorothy grew up in Grand Island and Blair, graduating from Blair High School.

Dorothy married Boyd Uehling on September 1, 1940 at Blair, Nebraska. They lived in Tekamah for 22 years, where Boyd farmed. They moved to Doniphan in 1962 and Boyd continued to farm. In 1978, they moved to Aurora where Boyd worked at Bonnavilla for seven years before retiring. Boyd passed away on September 22, 2002.

Dorothy was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her two sons, Kenneth D. Uehling of Tekamah and David L. Uehling of Hampton; 2 grandchildren, Melissa Elliot of Hot Springs, South Dakota and Boyd LeRoy Uehling of Omaha; 5 great-grandchildren and a great-great granddaughter and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
