Helmer Wadell

Helmer Wadell, age 94, of Aurora, died Tuesday, October 15, 2002, at Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 18th at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Aurora. Rev. Karl Larson will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: HELMER WADELL

Helmer Lars Wadell, the son of Oscar and Maria (Larson) Wadell, was born at Nissafors, Sweden on April 18, 1908 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on October 15, 2002, at the age of 94.

At the age of 4 he immigrated with his family from Sweden to Nebraska. Helmer attended school in Hamilton County.

Helmer was united in marriage to Verna Kremer on May 10, 1936. Helmer farmed in Hamilton County his entire life.

Helmer was a longtime member of the Aurora Evangelical Covenant Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Everett & Lennart and a sister, Anna Wadell.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Verna of Aurora; two sons, Don Wadell and his wife Jan of Lincoln and Delmer Wadell and his wife Lorey of Aurora; two grandchildren, Brent Wadell of Greeley, Colorado and Lisa Wadell and her fiancé Jason Smith both of Omaha; sister-in-law Marie Otto and her husband Norris of Aurora and nieces and nephews.
