Richard WagnerFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Monday, September 23, 1991 at the Giltner United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Giltner Cemetery. OBITUARY: Richard Wagner Richard Warren Wagner, the son of Warren and Beulah (Frank) Wagner, was born November 10, 1956, at Grand Island, Nebraska, and passed away September 18, 1991, at Omaha, Nebraska, following a bout with cancer, at the age of 34 years, 10 months, and 8 days. He grew up at Giltner, and graduated from Giltner High School in 1975. On November 14, 1975, he was united in marriage to Joy Collett, at Giltner. Rich was a parts man for Roy Evans Chrysler in Grand Island, and later was a body man, for them, and then went to work at Cox Body Shop in Grand Island. In 1982, he started the FBN Body Shop in Giltner, and he ran it until illness forced him to close it in 1990. He started college at Kearney State in September, however, his illness has kept him home the last few months. Rich was a member of the Giltner United Methodist Church, was a member of the E.M.T.’s on the Giltner Volunteer Fire Department; he belonged to the Pleasant Hill Muzzle Loaders Gun Club, the Nebraska Muzzle Loaders Rifle Association, and the National Muzzle Loaders Rifle Association. He was an extra in the movie “Dances With Wolves.” Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Joy of Giltner; 2 daughters, Samantha and Heather, both at home; a brother Walter of Snohomish, Washington, a sister Carmen Samples of Batavia, Illinois; his parents, Warren and Beulah Wagner of Giltner, and his grandmother, Hattie Frank of Harvard. |
