Alma E. Wall
Alma E. Wall, age 77, of Aurora, died Saturday, November 6, 2004, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 10th at the Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Rick Prettyman will officiate. Interment will be at 9:00 A.M. at the Mennonite Brethren Cemetery at Henderson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. Memorials may be made to the Focus on the Family. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at higbymortuary.com. OBITUARY: ALMA E. WALL Alma E. Wall, the daughter of Emil and Florence (Nelson) Gustafson, was born near Marquette, Nebraska on October 24, 1927 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on November 6, 2004, at the age of 77. Alma grew up on the family farm near Marquette and graduated from Marquette High School. Alma was married to Bernhard "Ben" Wall on November 3, 1946 at Henderson. They lived on the family farm near Henderson and moved into Aurora in 1975. Ben passed away on September 1, 1999. Alma was a member of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Henderson, until moving to Aurora, where they joined the Pleasant View Bible Church. Music was always an important part of her life. Alma played the piano at church and also accompanied a men's quartet in a traveling music ministry. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, Reuben Gustafson, Walt Gustafson and Bill Bister and three sisters, Helen Johnson, Marie Klawonn and Mildred Goertzen. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her three children, Marcellus (Joyce) Wall of Aurora, Bonita (Bob) Oswald of Aurora and Sherryl Wall of Grand Island; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. |
