Harold Wall

Harold Wall, age 88, of Aurora, died Monday evening, October 20, 2003, at Memorial Community Care.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 23rd at the Zion Lutheran Church in Hampton. Rev. Loren Cooper will officiate. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary. The family suggests memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or Memorial Hospital in Aurora. OBITUARY: HAROLD WALL

Harold William Ernst Wall was born June 30, 1915, at Hampton, Nebraska the son of Jacob and Louise (Werth) Wall and died in Aurora, Nebraska on October 20, 2003, at the age of 88 years, three months and 20 days.

He was united in marriage to Elva Klawonn on April 3, 1938. They had three children, Eldon 'Bud' Wall, Patty Wall and Judith Filter. He began farming with his father northwest of Hampton and in 1952 the family moved to a farm at Kronborg, Nebraska. In addition to farming his entire life, in 1956 Harold began work briefly at Harp's Conoco Station in Hampton and then nineteen years as a service technician at the General Motors dealership in Aurora. He retired in 1981. Harold and Elva moved to Aurora in 1984.

Harold was a life-long member of the Zion Lutheran Church at Hampton. Harold's hobby was working on cars. He enjoyed traveling and music.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Martin and Arthur Wall, and sisters, Clara Moellering, Selma Brockman and Esther Wall.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Elva of Aurora; a son, Eldon 'Bud' Wall and his wife Luana of Aurora; two daughters, Patty Wall of Aurora and Judith Filter and her husband William of Rio Verde, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson and one sister, Lydia Serck of Boonville, Missouri.
