Paul WeberFuneral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, September 13, 1989 at the Phillips United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Phillips Cemetery. OBITUARY: Paul Weber Paul Robert Weber, the son of Paul A. and Emma (Townsley) Weber, was born at Scottsbluff, Nebraska, on January 6, 1924, and passed away at Hastings, Nebraska, on September 11, 1989, at the age of 65 years, 8 months and 5 days. He grew up at Veteran, Wyoming, and graduated from high school in 1942. He served his country during World War II, in the United States Army from September 25, 1944, until November 17, 1946. After his discharge he attended the Grand Island School of Business for 2 years. On March 25, 1949, he was united in marriage to Lela Mae McCorkle at Grand Island. He farmed in the Phillips area until his retirement in 1986. Paul was a member of the Phillips United Methodist Church, and was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Eastern Star, and the Scotish Rite. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Paul Frederick. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife, Lela Mae, of Phillips; 2 sons, Robert of Phillips and Bryan of Grand Island; 3 daughters, Lucinda Weber of Edmund, Oklahoma, Constance Slack of Gothenburg, and Sharon Kay Weber of Phillips; one brother, Edwin of Grand Island; one sister Marilyn Reddish of Alliance and 4 grandchildren. |
