Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 31, 1989 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Helen Weiss

Helen Beth Weiss, the daughter of Harry and Tressie (Dutton) Tyson, was born at Broken Bow, Nebraska, on Mary 16, 1935, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 28, 1989, at the age of 53 years, 8 months, and 12 days.

She grew up and graduated from Broken Bow High School, and after graduation she lived and worked in Grand Island for a number of years.

On August 4, 1962, she was united in marriage to Jerome Weiss at Grand Island. In 1965 they moved to Aurora, where she has since resided.

Helen was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and was active in Church Circle. She was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and the Aurora “N” Gals Extension Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 infant brothers.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband Jerome, of Aurora; a son Dan Kettleborough of Aurora; a step-son Gregory Kohtz of Grand Island; one daughter Connie Harden of Chula Vista, California; 4 sisters, Sue Campbell of Hastings, Roxie Jones and Leola Carlson, both of Grand Island, and Isla Mae Scherer of Central City; and 5 grandchildren.
