Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 17, 1994 at Beatty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Interment was held in the North Cemetery near Salem, Iowa.

OBITUARY: Mary Jean Wells

Mary Jean Wells, the daughter of Carl and Gladys (Smith) Moehle, was born at Winfield, Iowa, on April 24, 1928, and died suddenly, at York, Nebraska, on May 13, 1994, at the age of 66 years, and 19 days.

She grew up and attended grade school at Winfield, and graduated from Mount Pleasant High School with the class of 1946.

On August 30, 1947, she was united in marriage to Wayne Wells, at Mount Pleasant, Iowa. After their marriage they lived at Lincoln, Norfolk, Oskaloosa, Iowa, Crete, Le Compton, Kansas, Culbertson and in 1976, they moved to Aurora, where they have since resided. While living in Crete, Mary Jean was a seamstress at Form Fit.

She had attended the Methodist and Christian Church, and when the children were in school, she was active in the PTA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother William Moehle.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Wayne of Aurora; 4 sons, Micheal L. of Ainsworth, Douglas M. of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Donald A. of Grand Island, and Jeffrey D. of Aurora; 2 brothers, Norman Moehle of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, and Orlo Moehle of Stockport, Iowa; 2 sisters, Joanne Orr of New London, Iowa, and Dortha Cadwallader of Ottumwa, Iowa; 4 grandchildren, Matthew, Jennifer, Amy, and Eric Wells; and 2 step-grandchildren, Michael and Kerri Morgan.
