Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 17, 1991 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Gary Wert

Gary Lee Wert, the son of John and Ruth (George) Wert, was born at York, Nebraska, on August 7, 1944, and passed away southwest of Aurora, Nebraska, on July 14, 1991, at the age of 46 years, 11 months, and 7 days.

He grew up near Aurora, and graduated from Aurora High School with the class of 1964. After graduation, he began farming with his father and brother.

On April 15, 1967, he was united in marriage to Sharon Hammer, at Aurora. Three children were born to this union.

Gary was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church, and had served on the Administrative Board. He was also a member of the Aurora Lions Club for the past year, served on the extension board for 3 years, was a member of the Corn Growers Association, and had been an assistant 4-H leader.

He was preceded in death by his father John Wert.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Sharon of Aurora; 3 sons, Jeffrey and his wife Christy, James and Jason, all of Aurora; one brother Gail and his wife Norma of Aurora; one sister, Carolyn Henning and her husband Ronald of Lincoln; and his mother, Ruth Wert of Aurora.
