Erma Werth

Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 28, 1986 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Hampton. Interment was held in the Hampton Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Erma Werth

Erma E. Werth, the daughter of Charles and Alvina (Dobberstien) Schaepler, was born at Polk, Nebraska, on October 5, 1908, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 24, 1986, at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 19 days.

She grew up and attended school in the Polk area.

On August 11, 1929, she was united in marriage to Gerhardt Werth, at Polk.

After their marriage they farmed northeast of Hampton and in 1938, they quit farming but continued to reside on the farmstead. In 1941, they moved to Seward and in 1969 they returned to Hampton. In July of this year they moved into the Hamilton Manor.

Erma was a member of Hampton St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and belonged to the Ladies Aid.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother in infancy.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Jerry; one son Gerald of New Haven, Indiana; 4 daughters, Eloris Andrew of Phoenix, Arizona; Arliss Peter of Grand Island, Joyce Lehmann of Claflin, Kansas and Elizabeth Lutz of Detroit, Michigan; one brother, Donald Schaepler of Lincoln; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
