Lorraine Wessos

Funeral Services were held 9:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 3, 1998 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church. Interment was held in the Eternal Hills Cemetery in Oceanside, California.

OBITUARY: Lorraine Wessos

Lorraine B. Wessos, the daughter of Herman and Mable (Dornquast) Beede, was born at Owatonna, Minnesota, on April 3, 1916, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 28, 1998, at the age of 81 years, 10 months, and 25 days.

She grew up and received her education in Owatonna, where she lived until 1953.

She married Loren Bethke and one son was born to this union. She was widowed, and on March 18, 1942, she married Arthur Wessos. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1997.

In 1953, they moved to Carlsbad, California, where they resided until they moved to Santa Maria, California, in 1981. Following the death of her husband, she moved to Aurora in August of 1997, to be near her daughter.

At the time of her death she was a member of the Aurora First Evangelical Lutheran Church. She was an active member all her life. She was a good wife, mother, and devoted to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and 2 brothers, Roland and Herman Beede, Jr.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Dennis Bethke of Santa Maria, California, and her daughter Suanne Cepek of Aurora; one sister Lorinda Mason of Custer, Washington; 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
