Funeral Services were held 10:30 A.M., Thursday, July 18, 1996 at Stockham Community Church. Interment was held in the Stockham Cemetery in Stockham, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Edith Wichmann

Edith Augusta Wichmann, the daughter of Fred and Mary (Lister) Kuehn, was born at Gretna, Nebraska, on November 25, 1913, and died at Genoa, Nebraska, on July 14, 1996, at the age of 82 years, 7 months, and 19 days.

She grew up in Gretna, where she attended school.

On May 26, 1930, she was united in marriage to Paul H. Wichmann. He preceded her in death on May 16, 1973.

They lived in Gretna, and in 1959, they moved to Stockham, where she has since resided. For the past month she had lived in a nursing home in Genoa.

Edith attended the Stockham Community Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sons, Norman and Paul, Jr., 4 sisters, Dora Clarke, Frances Barber, Evelyn Westfall, and Irene Fleck; and 2 brothers, Orie and Fred Kuehn.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Larry of Cleveland, Texas; 7 daughters, Juanita Phelps of Omaha, Beverly Randall of Rainier, Washington, Donna Howard of Stockham, Phyllis Stratton of Hornbrook, California, Evelyn Solis of Hardy, Margaret Ann Crawford of Clay Center, and Linda Anderson of Hurlock, Maryland; one brother Howard Kuehn of Stockham; 43 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
