Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 20, 1994 at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ. Interment was held in the Stockham Cemetery in Stockham, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Bessie Willcock

Bessie Leona Willcock, the daughter of James and Laura (Ready) Beat, was born December 19, 1908, near Stockham, Nebraska, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on June 17, 1994, at the age of 85 years, 5 months, and 28 days.

She received her education in the Stockham Schools, and graduated with the class of 1927.

She lived in the Stockham area most of her life, with the exception of 4 years, when her family lived in Houston, Nebraska, and the last few years when she lived in Aurora. For the past 2 years she has resided at the Memorial Community Care, in the Memorial Hospital in Aurora.

On February 27, 1929, she was united in marriage to Earl Willcock, at her parents home, near Stockham. They were the parents of 3 children. Earl preceded her in death on December 19, 1976.

Bessie was a member of the Stockham Presbyterian Church until it merged with the Aurora Presbyterian United Church of Christ, at which time she transferred her membership. She was active in the Women’s study and worked groups in both churches, and in the Stockahm School Alumni as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, a daughter June, a brother Vernon, and two great grandchildren Travis Kliewer and Shiela Howell.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son Dwight of Stockham, a daughter Joyce Kliewer of Aurora; 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
