Myrtle WilliamsenFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 19, 1998 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Kronborg, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Myrtle Williamsen Myrtle M. Williamsen, the daughter of Peter and Dorothea (Miller) Williamsen, was born at Hampton, Nebraska, on July 21, 1907, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 15, 1998, at the age of 90 years, 5 months, and 24 days. In 1908, the family moved to a farm near Kronborg, and later to the home place near Marquette. She attended school in Marquette, and graduated from Marquette High School in 1925. Following graduation she taught country school for several years. She lived on the home place and cared for her parents. They raised Doris Bankson, and she was like a sister to Myrtle and Cecilia. She was known by the Marquette community and her family as a warm-hearted and giving person. In 1991, she entered the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Kronborg. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Cecilia Jorgensen, a half-brother Allen, and a half-sister Cecilia. She is survived by nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. |
