Conley Wilshusen

Conley Wilshusen, age 70, of Grand Island, died Sunday, December 20, 2009, at Golden Living Lakeview.

Graveside Services were held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 21st at the Aurora Cemetery. Pastor Sam Fox officiatee. Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in charge of services. Condolences may be e-mailed to the family through the mortuary website at www.higbymortuary.com.

OBITUARY: CONLEY WILSHUSEN

Conley Keith Wilshusen, the son of Arnold and Genevieve (Splinter) Wilshusen was born at Hampton, Nebraska on December 19, 1939 and died in Grand Island, Nebraska on December 20, 2009, at the age of 70.

Conley graduated from Aurora High School Class of 1958. He went on to graduate from the Harlen Valley School of Nursing at Wingdale, New York in 1962 and from the Mercy Providence School of Anestestia in 1967, as an Anesthetist.

Conley was Chief of Anestestia for Lincoln General Hospital and then the Veterans Administration in Lincoln until it’s closure. He then went to work at the Hastings Regional Center until his health declined.

Conley belonged to the A.A.N.A. and the American Association of Anestestia.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to cherish his memory are his good friends, Francis & Ellen Kuta of Grand Island; brother, Stanley (Karen) Wilshusen of Aurora, nieces, nephew and friends.
