Pearl WilsonFuneral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, January 4, 1994 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Pearl Wilson Pearl Alta Wilson, the daughter of Joseph and Iona (Mathews) Bigger, was born on a farm east of Aurora, Nebraska, on August 23, 1900, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 31, 1993, at the age of 93 years, 4 months, and 8 days. She attended District School #6. On March 31, 1923, she was united in marriage to Alvin Wilson at Aurora. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1978. They lived in Marquette until 1931, when they moved to Aurora, and in 1937, they moved to Lincoln. During World War II, she was employed in Lincoln at Gold’s Department Store Cafeteria. In 1977, she returned to Aurora, and in 1988, she entered the Hamilton Manor in Aurora. Pearl was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, Alice Henthorn, Mary Connel, Laura Stokesbury, and Mabel Obermeier; 2 brothers, Charles and William Bigger; and one great grandson, Matthew Hoffman. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her son, and daughter-in-law Kenneth and Virginia Wilson of Jackson, Michigan; one brother Gordon Bigger of Aurora; a sister-in-law Esther Freeman of Aurora; 2 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. |
