Mabel WingardFuneral Services were held 2:30 P.M., Monday, February 12, 1979 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Mrs. Mabel Wingard Mabel Wingard was born near Charleston, Nebraska, in York County, on August 5, 1892. At an early age she came to Hamilton County with her parents, where she has since resided. She graduated from the Aurora Business College and then taught school for several years. As a longtime member of the First Christian Church, she was active in the work of the Church as long as her health permitted. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors Camp in Aurora. On February 12, 1913, she was united in marriage to Oscar C. Wingard. Four daughters were born to them. Her survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Perry of Aurora; Mrs. Ruth Carter of Fairmont, Nebraska and Mrs. Doris Hiza of Lincoln, Nebraska; nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, Wilma; her parents and one brother, Frank. Her death occurred at Memorial Hospital on February 8, 1979 at the age of 86 years 10 months and 3 days. |
