Herbert Winsker

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 26, 1983 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Aurora.

OBITUARY: Herbert Winsker

Herbert Winsker, the son of Paul and Marie (Mittlebach) Winsker, was born at Grabig, Germany, on June 23, 1922, and departed this life at Aurora, Nebraska, on February 24, 1983, at the age of 60 years, 8 months and 1 day.

At the age of 1 ½ years he came to New York, where he received his schooling.

On December 23, 1942, he was united in marriage to Betty McGue at New York City.

He served his country during World War II in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946.

Herb was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora, was a charter member of the Brewster Elks, in Brewster, New York; a charter member of ISHM; and belonged to the Aurora Rotary Club and the American Legion.

He worked for Allied Control for several years; and for 20 years he was employed by the Norden Division of United Aircraft in the Northeast United States. He also worked for Singer Kearfot in micro miniaturization.

In 1973, the moved to Aurora and helped start International Censors System, and was vice-president in charge of production and engineering until health reasons forced him to retire in 1978.

His parents preceded him in death.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his loving wife Betty; two sons, John P. of Stuart, Florida and Paul of Bradenton, Florida; one daughter Elizabeth of Ft. Myers, Florida, one sister Mrs. Otto Reimer of Indialantic, Florida; 3 grandchildren and other relatives and a host of close friends.
