HAROLD WITHAM

Harold Witham, age 81 of Alliance, died Monday, November 26, 2001 at Rapid City, South Dakota.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 3, 2001, at the Aurora Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Garfield officiating. There will be no visitation. OBITUARY: HAROLD WITHAM

Harold Edward Witham, the son of Carl and Lula (McConaughey) Witham, was born December 22, 1919 at Alliance, Nebraska, and died November 26, 2001 at Rapid City, south Dakota, at the age of 81 years 11 months, and 4 days.

Harold grew up in Alliance, where he graduated from Alliance High School. He entered the Navy in 1939, served in World War II and the Korean War, and was discharged in 1959. After his discharge, he worked at the University of Oklahoma power plant in Norman for 16 years. He then lived at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Grand Island, Nebraska before moving to Alliance.

Survivors include his daughter, Deanna Holtz of Houston, Texas; a step-daughter, Lana Shepard of Santa Fe, Texas; a step-son Rex Olson of Georgia, a brother, Leon Witham of Ft. Morgan, Colorado, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
