Harold Wolff

Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, December 2, 1996 at the Aurora United Methodist Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Harold Wolff

Harold Oral Wolff, the son of Charles and Effie (Garwood) Wolff, was born on a farm north of Aurora, Nebraska, on December 22, 1907, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 30, 1996, at the age of 88 years, 11 months, and 8 days.

When he was 5 years old the family moved to Bayard, Nebraska, where he started school, in 1916, they moved to Alliance, where he graduated from the 8th grade, and in 1925, they moved back to the farm north of Aurora, where he attended high school.

On February 6, 1929, he was united in marriage to Gladys Christenson at Hastings, Nebraska. After their marriage they farmed north of Aurora, until they moved into Aurora, where they have since resided. In February of this year Harold entered the Hamilton Manor in Aurora.

Harold was baptized at Alliance in the Christian Church, and transferred his membership to the EUB Church at Richland, and served on the cemetery board. At the time of his death he was a member of the Aurora United Methodist Church. He served on the district # 56 school board, and was on the election board in Grant precinct. He also belonged to the Modern Woodman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Gladys of Aurora; 3 daughters, Shirley Weedin and her husband Lyle of Aurora; Virginia Boyden and her husband John of Golden, Colorado, and Thelma Carlson and her husband Dick of Aurora; 11 grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
