Frank YoungFuneral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 7, 1992 at Higby Mortuary. Interment was held in the Phillips Cemetery in Phillips, Nebraska. OBITUARY: Frank Young Frank Eldon Young, the son of Harold and Mabel (Klein) Young, was born at Hastings, Nebraska, on August 28, 1943, and died suddenly at Aurora, Nebraska, on November 4, 1992, at the age of 49 years, 2 months, and 6 days. He grew up at Beaver City, Nebraska, where he attended school, and graduated with the class of 1961. After graduation, he worked with his father in a welding shop. On December 19, 1963, he enlisted in the United States Army, and served until his discharge on June 6, 1967. While in the Army he met and married Helga Summerer on July 26, 1966, at Nurnberg, Germany. They returned to Beaver City, where they lived for 2 years. In August 1971, they moved to Phillips, Nebraska, where he began working for New Holland, where he worked until his death. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother LaMoine, and one sister Charlotte Meyers. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his wife Helga of Phillips; 2 daughters, Corinna McBride and her husband Steve, of Phillips, and Sheila Young and her fiancé Derrick Walsh, both of Grand Island; one sister Shirley Ireland of Idaho, and one granddaughter, Natasha Leigh McBride. Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed boating, and meeting people interested in these sports. |
