Funeral Services were held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, December 18, 1993 at the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church. Interment was held in the Aurora Cemetery.

OBITUARY: Irene Zehr

Irene O. Zehr, the daughter of Samuel and Signa (Carlson) Zehr, was born near Aurora, Nebraska, on January 15, 1910, and died at Aurora, Nebraska, on December 16, 1993, at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 1 day.

She grew up and received her education near Aurora, and graduated from Aurora High School, and then graduated from the Central City Christian College. She taught school in Hamilton County in Giltner and Aurora, for 40 years, retiring in the middle 1970’s. She had lived on her parents farm until she moved into the Hamilton Manor for the past several years.

Irene was a member of the Aurora Pleasant View Bible Church, belonged to the church circles, attended Christian Women’s Club, and was involved in missionary and charity work. She also taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.

Keeping in touch with her pen pals, was a hobby which she enjoyed for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister Goldie.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her many cousins.
