Gilbert ZersenGraveside Services were held 1:30 P.M., Monday, April 23, 1984 at the Aurora Cemetery. OBITUARY: Gilbert Zersen Gilbert H. Zersen, the son of Henry and Emma (Fischer) Zersen, was born at Gresham, Nebraska, on March 30, 1894, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on April 21, 1984, at the age of 90 years and 21 days. Gilbert was united in marriage to Mary E. Cooper on August 24, 1920 at York, Nebraska. Mary passed away on March 13, 1982. Gilbert worked as a building inspector for the government and for the last 20 years he lived in Doniphan. He was a member of the Doniphan American Legion Post #300 where he was a charter member. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 1 grandchild and 4 brothers, Otto, Edward, Benjamin and Arnold. Those who remain to cherish his memory are his son, Robert of Doniphan; daughter, Nadyne Reich of Anaheim, California; 5 grandsons and 3 great-grandchildren. |
