A. G. ZuspanDr. A. G. Zuspan, age 93, formerly of Aurora, died Wednesday, December 20, 2000, in Lincoln. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday at First Christian Church in Aurora. Pastors Glenn R. Palmberg and Mary McQueen will officiate. Interment will be at the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation hours will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. Friday at Higby Mortuary in Aurora. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church. OBITUARY: DR. A. G. ZUSPAN Arba Gordon Zuspan, the son of Wick and Rosa Bell (Allen) Zuspan, was born in LaBell, Missouri on December 12, 1907 and died in Lincoln, Nebraska on December 20, 2000, at the age of 93 years and 8 days. He grew up in Missouri. A.G. graduated from Kirksville Medical School, Culver-Stockton College and the University of Missouri at Columbia. His first job was in Tennessee for one year before he moved to Aurora. A. G. was united in marriage to Helen Van Berg on June 14, 1938 in Canton, Missouri. He was a family osteopath doctor for 55 years in Aurora, before he retired in 1992. Helen passed away on January 1, 1994. He lived in Lincoln following his retirement. Dr. Zuspan was a member of the First Christian Church in Aurora, past member of the Aurora School Board and Aurora Planning Commission. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Tehama Shrine and Scottish Rite Valley all of Hastings. Dr. Zuspan was also a member of the Nebraska Osteopathic Association. His parents, wife and brother, Farris Zuspan preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Bill and his wife Kathy of Lincoln; 2 grandchildren, Ryan of Lincoln and Rhett of Tempe, Arizona; brother, Newell Zuspan, age 100, of Omaha and many nieces and nephews. |
