Funeral Services were held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, January 10, 1990 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora. Interment was held in the St. Joseph’s Catholic in Giltner, Nebraska.

OBITUARY: Margaret Wanek

Margaret Claire Wanke, the daughter of John and Margaret (Cannon) Reagan, was born at Omaha, Nebraska, on October 24, 1907, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on January 7, 1990, at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 13 days.

She grew up in Omaha and graduated from Sacred Heart High School, and later worked as a secretary at Creighton University.

On October 19, 1935, she was united in holy matrimony to Harold E. Wanek at Omaha. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1984.

Harold was in the army, and they lived many places during his career, including, Omaha, St. Louis, Missouri, Florida, California, Virginia, France, and Kansas. In 1962, they moved to Aurora, where she has since resided.

Margaret was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Aurora, and was active in church activities. She belonged to the Altar Society and was Vice-President of her circle. She was also very interested in the museum and library in Aurora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold and an infant sister.

Those who remain to cherish her memory are her 2 sons, John of Aurora and Charles of Omaha; 2 sisters, Patricia Brennan of Redwood City, California and Frances Schneider of Rohnert, California.
